walking the Mean Streets of Medieval York

I mention the mortar from St. Mary’s Abbey. Here’s a photo–the beautiful pattern isn’t as clear as I’d like, but you can see the size of it.
Sadly, I didn’t copy edit the post as carefully as I should have. Two typos jumped out at me as I read it the morning it was posted. Can you spot them?
Two readings and I found only one…build.

Third reading revealed snickleways, which should have been snickelways. The nickel also gets treated this way.

No, that’s sheer poetry. 😉 Clue: a misplaced apostrophe.

Thank you for sharing this post. It is fascinating to read about your inspirations for setting your Owen Archer series in York, and how your characters and stories developed was wonderful! We must walk the city together one of these days!
