Beautiful Books and the Interrobang

One of my favorite classes in college was typesetting. Challenging but satisfying. I have been in awe of typesetters ever since. The other day I happened on this beautiful short film, not the manual typesetting that I learned, but still, The Birth of a Book is a thing of beauty. Enjoy!

Another fun piece, this one from The Millions on the Interrobang, a combination exclamation point and question mark (bang for those of us who worked as copyeditors in the day).

Emma is screaming toward deadline, at which time I’ll be the busy one and she can post more (as I work on the 11th Owen Archer).
